Dreams
Just listen to Susan Stamberg's NPR story on Maison Lesage in Paris here, Maison Lesage. Can you image creating the hand embroidered work for the top design houses in Paris? My favorite part is how Chanel's Angelique Ginguene describes the beginning of the creative conversation. Karl Lagerfeld says "trails" or "Russia" and off they go. Love it!
Off to dream of my inspiration for Chanel.

Family Ties
Aloha!
The New York Times Travel section cover page http://travel.nytimes.com/2011/09/04/travel/return-to-kailua-hawaii.html?scp=1&sq=kailua,%20hi&st=cse this weekend was none other than my maternal family's home for over 50 years. My mother and her sisters grew up on the Kailua and Lanikai shores when it was truly a paradise. This picture is of my Tutu on the beach in front of their home. Can you imagine? I love her classic beach swimsuit pose, so reminiscent of that era.
So Obama and I have two things in common. We both had a Tutu and both feel at home on the Windward shores of Oahu.

The Boys
I share our home with 5 men, 3 human and 2 feline. Part of my love of blogs is the opportunity they give me to connect with my girly side because ain't a whole lot of girly goin' down 'round here :). Above is Boy No. 2, let's call him Roo cuz he's cute and cuddly. This is his Tom Brady look minus the spacy monster eyes.
This is Boy No. 2, let's call him, Sweet E, cuz his outside is funny and wack-a-do but inside he is as sweet as he can be.
And last but not least BMOC, seen here working hard for his money (pronounced "moneey" like Kanye West in Golddigger). He is the ultimate - business owner, prankster, dapper dan dresser, athlete, super cool dad (way cooler than Mom) and best of all, my hubby.
Starting off the list of Supporting Males in the household is none other than Tom Tom. A most precious rescue kitten who took to the good life quite quickly (by quickly I mean, how he put on the lbs.) He absolutely adores BMOC's swim bag even though it does do much for his figure.
Here is good ol' Edward, otherwise known as "Sqidward". He is another rescue kitten who is one of a kind - we call him a Cat-Dog.
Rounding up the line up is Cornelius, our third son (I say half joking). BMOC does not golf but he does love his classic muscle cars and Cornelius is his labor of love. Cornelius is like all the other boys, his gas smells and he is really loud.
